About Janine

Janine is a dedicated physiotherapist with over 18 years of experience, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and women's health. Alongside her expertise, she's also a trained birth doula and has been fortunate to support many women as they birth. Her unique background combines hands-on experience supporting women during childbirth with her physiotherapy skills, allowing her to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

With a diverse background spanning private practice, clinical Pilates, and major public hospitals, Janine's focus shifted to women's health after becoming a mother. She holds a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and has undergone further training in areas such as pelvic floor rehabilitation, prolapse management, pelvic pain, and pre and postnatal physiotherapy.

Janine's holistic approach to treatment recognises the intricate connection between the pelvic floor and overall body health. She utilises internal pelvic release work for birth preparation, recovery, and pelvic floor retraining. Engaged in academic research, Janine co-authored a qualitative study on labor pain and birth strategies conducted through Latrobe University.

Her areas of interest include pelvic floor rehabilitation, prolapse management, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, spinal pain management, birth preparation, and birth support and debriefing. Janine's multifaceted approach aims to empower women to achieve optimal pelvic health and overall well-being throughout their lives and overall well-being at every stage of life.
