She has more than 13 years of experience, both in the public and private sector and has worked exclusively in women’s health, locally and in London at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children. In Melbourne, Sharona has worked at the Mercy Hospital for Women, Masada Private Hospital, Frances Perry Hospital and currently at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
Sharona is particularly interested and passionate about mastitis, blocked ducts and other lactation related conditions, in addition to pelvic floor rehabilitation and protection. Her unique housecall service, particularly in the early postnatal period, is important to her and often a lifesaver for mothers and families.
She has worked exclusively in women’s and men’s pelvic health physiotherapy for over 12 years. She completed her post graduate certificate in pelvic floor and continence physiotherapy in 2007 and since then she has co-owned her own private practice clinic, been awarded APA titling as a women’s health and continence physiotherapist, and been involved in teaching undergraduate physiotherapy students at La Trobe university.
Hayley is currently practicing with Femme Physio as well as working at Cabrini hospital and teaching pelvic floor physiotherapy. She is committed to ongoing professional development and is currently studying to attain further post graduate certificate in conservative management of pelvic organ prolapse.
